FAST-LOAD GUIDE

How to Setup your Apple eSIM

The ultimate text-only guide for iPhone & iPad users. Follow these steps for a seamless 2026 travel experience.

Phase 1: Preparation

Complete these steps before you fly while you still have a stable Wi-Fi connection.

Requirement 01

Device Unlock

Ensure your iPhone is carrier-unlocked. If your phone is on a contract (e.g., AT&T, Vodafone), contact your provider to request an unlock first.

Requirement 02

Software Version

Check Settings > General > Software Update. Ensure you are running iOS 15.0 or later for the smoothest eSIM management.

Phase 2: Installation

Installing the profile adds the asimgo network to your hardware.

Step 01

Open Cellular Settings

Navigate to Settings > Mobile Service (or Cellular). Tap Add eSIM.

Step 02

Scan QR Code

Select Use QR Code. Scan the code provided in your asimgo email. If scanning from the same device, tap "Open Photos" and select your saved QR screenshot.

Step 03

Download Profile

Tap Continue. Your iPhone will connect to the server. Wait for the message "Mobile Plan Setup Complete". Tap Done.

Phase 3: Activation

Configure your settings to ensure your data works immediately upon landing.

Step 04

Line Labeling

Label your new asimgo line as "Travel" or "Business" so you can easily distinguish it from your primary SIM.

Step 05

Set Voice & Data

Default Voice Line: Choose "Primary" (to keep receiving calls on your home number).
Mobile Data: Choose your new "asimgo/Travel" line. Toggle OFF "Allow Mobile Data Switching" to prevent accidental roaming charges from your home carrier.

⚠️ The Critical Final Step

Once you arrive at your destination, go to Settings > Mobile Service > [asimgo line] and ensure Data Roaming is turned ON. Your internet will not work without this setting enabled.
